I just got here....

My name is Pondwella, and  I am a frog, in case you didn't know.   Once I belonged to a very nice lady, who had me sitting in her front room for many years. Then one day I went home with the lady's daughter.  This was last fall and now I travel with the daughter, Sheila and her husband Bill. Bill and Sheila think I am very high maintenance, (whatever that means),  wear inappropriate clothing and way too much make up, but I don't care.  I am ME and that's all I need to be...please check in to see what I have been up to in the future, but remember..I just got here, so my travels are a work in progress....now, let's sit back and have some coffee..  ;) I will catch you up on what's happened so far..

My first adventure with Bill and Sheila

My first adventure was a Halloween camping trip.  The best part happened right away. I was given the job of being the "GUARD FROG", I sit in the front window of the motorhome and warn them of any dangers.  It's a very important job.

We had fun at the campsite too.  I got to have morning coffee with my new adventurers, and then sat at the picnic table and enjoyed the sunshine...I made a new friend...Mr. Jack O. Lantern, see I had my picture taken with him...he was a very friendly pumpkin.

Here are a couple of photos of our campsite, me and Mr. Jack and also, my leg caught in a tree I was trying to climb...some frogs can climb trees....I am not one of those frogs.

A trip to the Renaissance faire..

We went on vacation to Hammond, Louisiana to the Renaissance Fair...but I found out that Renaissance fairs are NOT for frogs...they left me to guard the motorhome...I was not happy...
In case you didn't know, a Renaissance Fair is a place where people dress in strange clothes and pretend they are somewhere else, like England or France and that it is 400 years ago, or something.  They eat big turkey legs and there seems to be lots of pies.... kind of like Halloween without the candy..that's all I know.

I got to see the ocean!

After the Renaissance faire, Bill and Sheila drove down to the Gulf of Mexico to do some camping.  It was beautiful there...here's ME.....and the ocean....at least I got to go to the beach!

and......it's winter...

It was a very long winter. I just sat in the motorhome and waited for something to happen.  The only time I got to go anywhere was when some work needed to be done on the motor home and I went to Johnson's garage while the gas hose was being fixed.  :P

FINALLY......

It's now Spring and we all went on our first camping trip of the season.  We went to Forbes State Park and it was so enjoyable...once it warmed up in the afternoon..boy the morning was cold...I sat by the tiki torch on the table and enjoyed the warm evening and watched the fire with Bill and Sheila..  In the last photo, Sheila said I had waaay too much lip gloss on for camping...but what does she know...we must always try to look our best, even while in the wilderness...boy, it was good to be out and doing something outside...I am glad summer is coming..I heard them say we are going to Texas...I don't know what Texas is, but it sounds exciting!

Sheila made sure I was warm, during the morning..it was very cold.

Later in the evening, it got really warm, I was relaxing against the water can.  It was great!

I don't have on too much lip gloss, do it???!!  I didn't think so, I look awesome

Summer is almost here!

I haven't been out much, it rained so much, I just sat in the motorhome and relaxed.  I am really good at relaxing!  It's hot now, but not quite summer...there's a special day that summer starts...I don't know why it can't just be summer as soon as it gets hot, but nobody asked me, I am just a frog, a beautiful girl frog, but still just a frog.  So, as I was saying I am really good a relaxing, so here I am having a little nap in my hammock, I love it so much, it's great to swing in it, even on hot days.  The other day I was in my hammock and I fell asleep and when I woke up it was almost dark..I had to hurry in the house, because you know, it was almost bedtime.

Friends

I'm spending the rest of the day with friends that live in my yard.  They aren't lucky like me, I have a comfy motorhome to live in, I have my own pillow and get to leave the yard with Bill and Sheila My friends just live by the porch all year long, they don't seem to mind though. I'm glad they are here.  We are going to Texas very soon now.  I will have some little friends to play with when we get there, they are named Garret and Lucas.  I can't wait to meet them, I wonder what they are like?  Here is me with my yard friends, I really like them a lot. We have very interesting conversations.  I will tell you about them sometime..

A walk in the garden

Don't you just love watching things grow....I love these purple flowers, they match my shoes and my fuzzy purple winter coat.   It's too bad these flowers aren't growing at the same time as I wear my purple coat, which is in the winter, this would be a totally purple picture,  of a totally awesome frog, the amazing Pondwella, that's me! Wish I was purple too, but whoever heard of purple frogs around here?

My friend Pinky..

Here is my friend, Pinky, he gives me a ride sometimes.  We don't go very far and he doesn't say much...actually..he doesn't talk at all, I wonder why that is?  I usually do all of the talking anyway, because I am VERY interesting.

My vacation...meeting Lucas..

Hello, it's me, Pondwella.  I just have to tell you about my vacation to the place called Texas and some other places.  First of all Texas is very BIG, and they really like their donuts there!  Yes, there were lots of donut shops along the roads...I just thought I would let you know that.  So, anyway, we finally got to Texas, and I met my new friends, Garret and Lucas!  Boy did we have fun!  Here is Lucas and me, I think he really liked me..  :) I know I really liked him, he was cute, don't tell him though, because, after all, I am just a frog...

And then I met Garret, he was so cool!  He let me watch him play games on his computer thing. Look I got to sit in his lap..I think he liked me too.  He was really good at playing his game.. wish I knew how..!

Garret was also thinking about my safety, see, he put on top of the big fireplace where I could keep a lookout for danger, and also to protect me from these things called "dogs", who might mistake me for one of their toys..see what I mean?  That would be kinda scary...wait...that would be super scary...yikes!

I also met Shelley and Cary

I also met Shelley and Cary who are Garret and Lucas's mom and dad, they were cool, and made me laugh, like when Shelley got in on making this stuff called slime....I don't know what happened, but something went wrong...nobody cared...look at Garret and Lucas having fun, glad I was still up on the mantle though, wouldn't want to get that slime stuff on my beautiful clothes, oh my!

Ha, ha, silly Garret, he is making a funny face, must be the slime stuff making him do it!

Looks like Lucas is loving the slime stuff too, ewwwww! It's gross looking!

Dino sores....what are they?

While I was still up on the mantle everyone left to go see something about Dino sores, I don't know what they are, it's a really big, big world out there, I have so much to learn..anyway, I don't know what these dino sores are, but they must be big...look at that foot print...Garret and Lucas had fun in the river, playing in the dino sore foot prints...wait...I think it is DINOSAURS...see, it's good to learn new things. I stayed home and kept watch over these things called DOGS, their names are Kinsey and Sheba...all they did was sleep though, so it was ok..

I really like it up here, I feel like the Queen frog of the world or at least of the front room.

Camping WAAAYYY up on top of a mountain

Good bye, Garret, Lucas, Shelley, Cary, and those things called dogs, I am sad to leave you,  but it was kind of exciting to know we were going to a place called New Mexico.  Like Texas it is a desert, but very beautiful.  We went camping way up in the mountains, I thought we would never get there, but up, up we went.  It was really dark, but Bill made a fire and we all felt better.  Look at our tiny motor home next to the big tall trees.  Here I am, just resting in the morning sun, waiting to see what happens next, life is very exciting!

Sheila made me these pretty pillows to rest on, they are awesome and so stylish, which is just right for a frog lady like me!

What are eagles?

Our next stop was Eagle's Nest, New Mexico..What is an eagle, and why does it have a nest?  A question for another time, I guess..Anyway, we are camping in these beautiful mountains,  which are just really big rocks....
Hello world! It's me, Pondwella and the mountains.. 

These people are just silly!

We camped at Eagle's Nest for a few days.  It was really windy and hot, but nice and cool at night.  One day after lunch we were just sitting around the picnic table, Bill sat me on his shoulder so I could see better, thanks Bill, you are awesome to help out a frog.  Sheila and I were hiding from Bill, She is just silly, isn't she?

Ah, time for bed in the desert once again.

Going home...

The last place we went was called Colorado.  We went to see some dunes.  I don't know what the big deal is with these dunes, they are just great big piles of sand, but they must be very important, because there were lots of people that seemed pretty excited about them.  I chose to stay in the motor home and keep watch for danger, but there wasn't any, so that's a good thing, right?  Here is Bill and Sheila in front of the piles of sand, I mean DUNES...we all had a wonderful vacation, and so this ends my story, but I heard Bill and Sheila talking about something called MICHIGAN, so I guess that's next, so stay tuned..

AND....we're home!

Yes, me made it home, and here I am on the swing relaxing, did I ever tell you I am good a relaxing?  Well, I am, because I am a frog and that's what we do...I think maybe I need to take off my fuzzy purple coat for a while, even though I look amazing with it on...sometimes comfort is more important...see you later alligators!
